Role
Description:
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to forge a new team
within a highly respected organisation and to lead that team
forward. The role will undoubtedly be challenging and

this juncture. Diversity, good commercial and information
security skills combined with a determined and dynamic attitude
will be
favourably
considered.

£30-45k
Contract Type:
Permanent
Role Description:
Our client, a leading IT Consultancy is looking for a passionate
Penetration Tester. The candidate should have a quirky

Seriously though, this is a special ethical hacking role, where
passion is more important than the usual qualifications such as
CEH or CISSP, furthermore, candidates chasing huge salaries
equivalent to the national debt of a small country need not
apply. You will still need to know your way around vulnerability
assessment and will be given a technical interview, but don’t
let that put you off too much, they are a good bunch!
Salary will be dependant on your skills and the value that you
bring to the team; it would be expected to be in the region of
£30K to £45K. The role is all Pen Testing, you will not be doing
other Infosec work without moving to another division, there
will be plenty of variety and therefore you must be willing to
travel, the work also includes travel to US security conferences
such as Defcon or Shmoo. For around the first 6 months you will
be based in Bristol, after that you may be permitted to travel
to clients sites and generate reports from home.
You will be a member of a close knit and highly professional
team with an exceptionally passionate ethos. CHECK/Crest Team
membership/leadership is desirable but certainly not essential.
Security Clearance (SC/DV) is not essential but SC must be
achievable. Achieving CHECK/Crest Team Leader status is actively
encouraged for team members.
Essential Experience:
• PASSION for penetration testing
• Security Clearance
Achievable
Desirable:
• The client is completely open minded, however, as Information
Security consultants ourselves, we will not put you forward
unless we are confident that you have the skills necessary for
penetration testing.
