Connects to Your Network in Seconds
With any other vendor, starting a network IDS / IPS project means trying to convince the network group to let you use a scarce spanning port or place an expensive switch somewhere inline, thereby creating a potential point of failure. This is not an issue with Intrusion Secure TapsTM.
Completely Transparent to Your Network
Connecting SecureNet or Compliance Commander appliances to any network is now just a few seconds of work, and it is totally transparent to the network.
Fails-Closed - Cannot Create a Point-of-Failure
The Intrusion Secure Tap family creates a simple, secure, and resilient connection into the network for your SecureNet or Compliance Commander appliance. All Secure TapsTM fail closed and do not create potential points of failure. There is no chance that any security appliance can cause a network to go down.
No MAC or IP Address - Cannot Be Attacked
Intrusion Secure Taps have no MAC or IP addresses, and are therefore totally transparent to the network, so they cannot be attacked. One of the tremendous benefits of using the Secure TapTM with SecureNet and Compliance Commander appliances is that the Secure TapTM allows your Intrusion security appliance to stop offending traffic. Other vendors' taps can interfere with an appliance's ability to stop malicious traffic.

I have used a few different taps over the years, but this is the one will ask for everytime. For the differing envirnoments and user requirements I know I can rely on this one when trying to match user requirments
