This is by far the most comprehensive Intrusion Detection training I have ever experienced. SANS are vendor neutral and the instructors are some of the best analysts in the game, they all have real hands-on combat experence with tales to help you understand and consolidate your learning experience.
Having used all three delivery methods, Live, @Home and OnDemand I have no doubt that which ever you pick, you will not be disappointed, although I do prefer Live or OnDemand (due to TimeZone conflicts).
If your analyst has not attended SANS Track 503, Intrusion Detection In-Depth and passed the associated GCIA exam, then they may not be as well-rounded and thorough as you would expect.
